Travelling back in time is an opportunity that every person hopes for in some time of his life. Some want to visit the strict Nazi regime of Adolf Hitler, some want to visit the time period when Egypt was the great Ra empire, some want to visit the time when the Hanging Gardens of Babylon was built and some want to visit White House when it was being constructed. But we all know that it’s unrealistic. Thus when on my way to school, an old man asked me that whether I would like to travel back in time just for humor I told him that I would like to go to the time period when India was ruled by the Mughals. I have always associated my country with respect and dignity and the Mughal Empire was nothing but that. The aura of the emperors ranging from Shah Jahan to Akbar was simply scintillating. I always wanted to see my country in its glory and when I entered through my school door I found my self the ancient India at the time of the Mughals. There was justice everywhere, no sign of poverty, people of all the religions were treated equally and there was no sign of violence. I was left gaping open-mouthed at this scene. This was too good to be true. The emperor was taking his usual rounds through the city at that time and everybody was treating him with respect. He indeed looked like a person free of corruption, just and generous some qualities that I always hoped our present government would have. I spent the rest of the day touring the city and taking in its astounding beauty. I wanted to see whether peace and economic progress can exist simultaneously, and I was surprised to find that it could. And suddenly as night fell I saw the scenery around me fade and suddenly I was back in my bed. It had all been a dream, but I knew such an era had existed. I feel sorry for the present generation. Why has the world turned corrupt? Why does injustice prevail over justice? Why do the rich treat the poor as inhuman? Why is the world plunged into conflicts? Why does it always have to be about me and not us? Let us work together to find answers to these questions
